The Orlando Magic shot lights out on Tuesday and got back into the NBA Finals as they defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 108-104. Orlando’s shooting was so good (63 percent) that it set an NBA Finals record. "They pretty much made all their shots," Lakers forward Trevor Ariza said.

The Magic now are back in the NBA Finals and they could even the series with a win on Thursday. If they come back to win this series they would become only the fourth team in NBA history to come back after losing the first two games. "Why not?" Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu said. "We believe in each other and as long as we're playing our game, our system and fighting for 48 minutes - why not?"

Even though the Magic shot the ball extremely well, the Lakers still had a chance in Game 3. Kobe Bryant scored 31 points for the Lakers but he simply played poorly down the stretch. He had just 10 points in the second half, missed a key free throw late and committed a costly turnover in the last minute. "It was a bad night," he said.

Orlando had five players score at least 18 points in Game 3. "We lost two games, but there's no need to roll over," Dwight Howard said. "It's a seven-game series. A team has to beat you four times to end the series and we felt good knowing that we had three games at home."

The Lakers know they lost the game because they didn’t play much defense.
"We lost this game on the defensive end," Kobe Bryant said. "We had been playing very good defense and the team tonight shoots 62 percent from the field."

The Orlando Magic had a chance in the NBA Finals to make the Los Angeles Lakers sweat and it remains to be seen if they get another one. Courtney Lee missed a layup with less than a second remaining in Game 2 and the Magic ended up losing Game 2 in overtime. Now the series shifts to Orlando where the Magic face a must-win Game 3 on Tuesday.

The Lakers realize they could have lost on Sunday and Kobe Bryant has promised they will play better on Tuesday. "We're about to kick it up," he said. "You'd better believe it. We're close. "We've just got to go home and take care of business," Magic center Dwight Howard said. "The Lakers did a good job of protecting their home, and now it's our turn to do the same thing. We've been in some tough situations. We've just got to fight our way out."

Orlando has a number of issues they must correct if they are to make this into a series. The first problem is turnovers. They had 20 turnovers in Game 2 and their point guards were awful. Rafer Alston and Jameer Nelson have played very poorly and Orlando head coach Stan Van Gundy had to go to Hedo Turkoglu to run the point for a while. "We were just trying to see if we could get somebody out there who would make shots off of the double teams and off the pick-and-rolls and things like that," Van Gundy said. "I thought our guys fought hard, but we couldn't make enough plays. And the 20 turnovers crushed us."

Los Angeles is back in the NBA Finals for the second consecutive year and 30th time in franchise history while the Magic are in the NBA Finals for the second time in their history.

The matchup between the Magic and Lakers should be a good one as Orlando has the dominating presence of Howard while the Lakers have Kobe. The Lakers will try and control Howard with three big men, Andrew Bynum, Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom. He's a unique kind of player," Pau Gasol said about Howard, "I don't think there have been many players like him because of his physical gifts and attributes." Howard averaged 21.5 points, 16 rebounds and 2.5 blocked shots in the two regular season games against the Lakers, both Orlando wins.

The Lakers main weakness is handling a point guard who is quick. Unless Jameer Nelson makes a surprise appearance, the Magic don’t have a guard that can give the Lakers trouble as Rafer Alston does not have the speed to cause Los Angeles trouble. On the other side, Orlando has no player that can stop Kobe. In the two regular season meetings, Kobe averaged 34.5 points per game.
